Salam Ramadhan

Hello peeps

I know that we have been fasting for almost a week now and I hope it's not too late for me  to take this opportunity to wish my muslim friends and relatives a blessed Ramadhan.

Ramadhan is a holy month for the muslims. The ninth month of Islamic calendar. It is a time for spiritual purification achieved thru fasting, self sacrifice and prayers. It is also a time to test our patience, to reflect ourself on our actions in order to make things right for our self improvement.

Fasting is religious obligation that is to be followed by muslims at every cost.  The main purpose of fasting is to make people like us who are fortunate enough to live a better life to be aware of the hardships of those people who have nothing to eat and are very poor. It is about time to take care of them, help them in time of difficulty to minimize their hardships by doing more 'sedeqah' in this holy month of Ramadhan.  Even in Al-Quran, it is mentioned that in this month the gates of heaven are opened and the gates of hellfire are closed. By doing good deeds, In Shaa Allah we will be rewarded 'Pahala' by Allah almighty.
(In our belief, the more pahala we have, the better chances to get to heaven as long as we do the deed with pure & correct intention).
The main purpose behind this month is to make people aware of the hardships of the people who have nothing to eat and are poor. - See more at: http://muslim-academy.com/why-is-ramadan-so-important-and-significant-for-muslims/#sthash.E3ZPyoVT.dpuf

I wish my fellow muslim friends/relatives to take advantage of this holy month of Ramadhan for "Muhasabah Diri" and that is to work on our own inner peace.

I know some of us are unable to distinguish between the needs and luxuries hence we engage in wasteful spending. Please try to avoid spending on unnecessary thing for instance, when comes to Iftar we might end up with a pile-up variety of food that we cannot fully consume and then throw them away in the garbage bin. What a waste!!!Why don't we share our food with the poor?

Why it is so hard for us to give some money to the needy but instead we don't mind wasting our money on a buffet dinner at five-star hotel for iftar that's overly priced and yet we can't finish eating all the food?

This is about time to reflect our actions and make things right!

Once again, Salam Ramadhan Al-Mubarak :)

A STORY OF BETRAYAL OF FRIENDSHIP

Now I'm presenting you a story of betrayal of friendship
Hang Tuah vs Hang Jebat
[from my own point of view]

I believe every Malaysian knows the story of Hang Tuah.  For those who have no idea who's Hang Tuah, you can browse here
and Hang Jebat here

 "Takkan Melayu Hilang di Dunia"
~ by The legendary Malay Warrior, Hang Tuah.
[The famous quote of Hang Tuah]

Despite loving Hang Tuah's quote, I'd always considered Hang Jebat as "My Real Hero" while others might have potrayed him as a traitor to the king , as what we have been taught in History Lesson during high school.  I have my own reason to why I chosed him as my hero, infact my SUPERHERO.

All this while we followed the book, we followed exactly what we learnt from the history, the story that has been passed on from one generation to another generation.  We have been bombarded with bias informations about Hang Jebat.  He has been potrayed in such a way that he was a bad guy :(

To me, he was given an unfair judgement by the historians. Isn't that there's a good and bad in everyone? why should we highlight the bad sides of him and vanish the good ones?

Without any prejudice, I'd like to see him from different perspective, from my own point of view. I’d like to explore the good sides of him and I’m just pointing out the truth that has never been told.

Hang Jebat must have known the true meaning of Friendship for he taught others its meaning, the value of friendship and loyalty of a friend and that the quality of one true friend to the extend that his willingness to sacrifice himself in the hands of his best friend, Hang Tuah indeed really touched my heart.  Similarly to the story of three musketeers, he kept his vow ~ one for all and all for one!

While Hang Tuah on the other hand,  has taught us all, a sense of loyalty to our king but does it make any sense if we obey to one cruel ruler? Should we sacrifice our friendship for the sake of others especially to the person who didn't serve justice on us accordingly? Should we betray the person who stood by our side and would do anything to fight for our own rights?

A King who has made an order to kill Hang Tuah simply because he has falsely been accused of committing  adultery without investigating whether he was guilty or not guilty.  He was given an unfair trial by the king to begin with. Why would he obey to the one who wanted him to die in the first place?

If he hasn’t been kept alive secretly by Datuk Bendahara, the history would have been different. Hang Jebat wouldn’t be the one who was killed & betrayed by his own best friend and I wouldn’t have known the true meaning of friendship that I learnt from my hero. Hang Jebat was infact a symbol of truth and justice.

We can’t change the history but we still can change our perception and may peace be upon the two of them..Aamiin.

Ryan Seacrest and Julianne Hough Break-Up!

Guess what??? Ryan Seacrest is now back on the market , so does Julianne Hough! Although I'm a big fan of them both especially Seacrest that doesn't mean I'm happy to hear the break up news of my two favourite celebrities. Knowing Seacrest is now a single man does not mean that I have a better chance  that one day he could be mine...what a stupid idea hahahaha :P :P :P

Some people have questioned seacrest's sex orientation for all this while until he took Julianne as his girlfriend. Even until now they thought the two of them made use of each other.  It doesn't surprise me if  gay people have the same hopeful for Ryan that someday he will come out of the closet just like Ricky Martin...Oh No! whatever the speculation,  I hope he's straight and remain as one!

It's kinda sad to see two beautiful people growing apart as I thought they were cute together. Reportedly, both are workaholics and their busy schedules caused for strain in the love department. But the actual fact, was due to Age difference!

Apparently 24-year-old Hough's young and lively lifestyle bothered the older, more settled Seacrest, 38, until he could no longer take it. Ryan tried his best to keep up with Julianne but in the end he just couldn't.
He's older, already established and set in his ways, and he was getting tired of telling her to lay off the alcohol and stop overindulging. They constantly fought because he wanted her to slow down and she wanted him to lighten up and enjoy life more.

p/s Ryan, next time go find a mature woman :D

Sad news ...aren't they look beautiful together??? :'(

AIFFA 2013

Last Saturday Night I had attended the Gala Dinner of  "The Asean International Film Festival and Awards" or in shortform known as AIFFA 2013 which was held at Borneo Convention Centre (BCCK).

The Asean International Film Festival and Awards (AIFFA) 2013 endorsed by the Sarawak Tourism Ministry and fully supported by the Information, Communications and Culture Ministry, Foreign Ministry (Asean-Malaysia National Secretariat) as well as National Film Development Corporation Malaysia (FINAS).

That was the first ever AIFFA held in Kuching, Sarawak and of course I was delighted to have a chance to mingle around with many celebrities from Asean Countries :)

Among the local celebrities who attended AIFFA 2013 were Sofea Jane, Fazura, Shaheizy Sam, Vanida Imran, Pekin, Razak Mohaideen, Esma Daniel, Sharad Sharan dan Dain Said, Hans Issacs, Maya Karin, Datin Seri Tiara Jacqueline, Nancy Foo, just to name a few :)

There was also very famous Philippines hearthrob Jericho Rosales (OMG he's such a gentleman and so good looking guy) among many other Philippines, Indonesia and Singapore delegates.

We were entertained by Tony Eusoff , our very own Sarawakian hearthrob who was also the host for that night and he sang a P. Ramlee's song as an opening act followed by another Sarawakian singer Dayang Nurfaizah. Joanne Kam Po-Po, our local comedian cracked a few jokes and we also had Kris Dayanti flown all the way from Indonesia entertaining us that night!!!!

Oh almost forgot to mention the event was live telecast on TV2 :)

So for now I'm just gonna post some pictures taken recently. Sorry dudes I have to put some blurry pictures of mine and my  two other "Divas" for that night simply because we don't want to outshine those celebrities...muahaha :P

Btw enjoy those pics :D

Beautiful Disaster

Maybe this is an old news but I had recently talked about plastic surgery with my sister and my cousin. We were trying to compare the outcome of those people who have gone through under the knife and who have a better result between  The Koreans VS The Americans.

To be frank I found the plastic surgeons in Korea produced a better result than those of the beauty surgeons in America.
I found those american women who wanted to enhance their beauty infact became uglier after the plastic surgery session...hahaha meanwhile it was the other way around for those koreans....ooppsss
This is merely based on my personal opinion so please don't sue me for this statement '__'

Her pouty lips supposed to look sexy but it's kinda weird & so scary

Miss Korea 2012 before and after plastic surgery pictures

The most shocking and bizzare news in regards of this plastic surgery issue happened in China when one chinese man recently divorced and sued his wife for being ugly and court agreed by awarding him £75,000.  Jian Feng was shocked and  confused after his wife gave birth to an 'incredibly ugly' baby. At first he accused her of cheating because the baby didn't resemble either one of them.  At last the wife admitted to spending around £62,000 on plastic surgery in South Korea which had altered her appearance drastically before she got married.  He then claimed she got him to marry her under false pretenses.

The before and after pictures seem like it was money well spent except that it ended up costing this woman her marriage!!!

Hello woman! you can make yourself more aesthetically appealing but you still carry the 'real you' gene to pass it on your child :D

Emm...something wrong somewhere???

Okay..let's go to Korea and have a plastic surgery...haha just kidding!

Well ..I may not be perfect and pretty but so far I'm comfortable in my own skin. I'd love to be more natural and I'd prefer to grow old gracefully.  I do hope someone is willing to take me for who I am :)

p/s Take me or leave me, the pleasure is all yours :P

- the end -

BE YOUR OWN WEDDING PLANNER

Weddings are one of the most momentous occasions a couple will experience together throughout their lives. Since it is a special day, it is important to choose the right wedding planner and a highly skilled photographer who can create a story from the captured moments you spend with friends and family on your big day. Arranging a wedding can be daunting if you’re doing it yourself. To help you keep on top of your wedding arrangements, here’s a helpful tips:

8 MONTHS OR MORE TO THE WEDDING
 Set budget

Figuring out your budget and how much your families will be contributing will give you a picture of what kind of wedding, wedding gown, venue and the size of your guest list you can afford.

Pick a date

If you’re into auspicious dates, bear in mind that you’re not the only one. Lucky dates like November 11, 2011 (11-11-11) are likely to be booked up – so get cracking!

Arrange for your families to meet

Time for your future-in-laws to meet each other, if they haven’t done so already.

Book the solemnization venue

If you are looking into having a religious ceremony, you’ll need to book the date at the relevant place of worship and attend the required preparations.

Start a course of facials

Perfection doesn’t happen overnight. Consult with a certified dermatologist and get your skin problems dealt with.

Decide on the dinner venue
An out-of-the-ordinary dinner venue may mean spending more on items like drinks, décor and favours that are usually included in conventional wedding dinner packages.

Start making up your guest list

The earlier you get it done, the sooner you can inform people of your upcoming nuptials. You don’t have to do it alone –get your parents, your partner, and your future in-laws to come up with their guest lists before you can come up with your final one.

6 MONTHS TO THE WEDDING

Buy/rent or design your wedding gown

Look around for a dress that will suit your taste, style and budget. Don’t be too trendy. What looks good today may look dated ten years down the road.

Buy/rent the groom’s wedding suit

Make sure the groom’s suit matches the bride’s gown

Design/buy invitations

With the whole world wide web of ideas out there, you can make your invitation cards more personalized.

Choose the caterer

You’ll need one if you’re not having the standard banquet package.

Shop around for a videographer and photographer

For a better idea on their capabilities, ask to see snippets of edited work (to see how your special day might turn out on video) and unedited work (to judge the sound quality). You’ll be busy with a thousand things that day – you don’t want to miss a single thing, do you?

Book your bridal party

Pick your best men, your bridesmaids and attendants and inform them of their duties.

Look for wedding bands

Try them on for size and see what suits the both of you best.

4 MONTHS TO THE WEDDING

Register with registry of marriage (ROM)

Log on to the National Registration Department website www.jpn.gov.my to see how to apply for your marriage license and what to bring with you to the ROM. For the muslims, log on to Jabatan Agama Islam Selangor website www.jais.gov.my to see the procedures for the muslim marriage preparation course.

 Confirm videographer

Confirm the style of cinematography and editing you’d like for your wedding video.

Book and plan your honeymoon

As soon as you’ve agreed on a destination, you can book your tickets and budget your trip before they’re s sold out.

Book your florist

When you’ve decided on whether you’re going for a classic or a contemporary style of floral bouquet, you can start to work with your chosen florist on the little details.

Measure up the bridal party

Gather your bridal party for a day at the tailor’s.

 Book hairstylist and makeup artist

Clip out inspirations from bridal magazines or websites and pick a hairstyle or makeup artist who knows what you want.

Gather guest information

Confirm all your guests contact details to make it easier to address your invitations.

Confirm the menu

Sit down for a food-tasting that usually comes with the dinner package.

2 MONTHS PRIOR TO THE WEDDING

Pick music for the ceremony

If it’s a church wedding, speak to your pries t about the recommended music choice. Compile the music you’d like played during the wedding dinner and hand it to your coordinator.

Order the cake

Decide what you want it to look like and discuss the possibilities with the baker.

 Write the speech

Pick who you want to speak at your wedding reception and get the deed done nice and early. Don’t leave it till the last minute.
Choose ceremony readings

If you’re having church readings, hand copies out to your appointed readers that they’ll have time to practice.
 Send out invitations

Your guests need adequate notice of the time, date and place of your wedding.

Pick out and liase with your emcee

Work out the evening’s programme with your emcee.

1 MONTH TO THE WEDDING

 Discuss details of the ceremony

Time to review and discuss the flow and details of the ceremony. Bring a copy of the programme for easy
reference.

Confirm flowers

Finally, your bridal bouquet, car decorations, venue décor and table arrangements are taking shape.

Hair, Makeup and wedding gown trial-run

Try out the hairstyle and make up your chose concurrently with your final dress fitting, so you’ll get the full picture.

Call guests for RSVP and draw up seating plans

Call up the guests who have yet to confirm their attendance for the ceremony, dinner or both.

Give the music playlist to the band

If you’ve hired a live band, you might want to compile a list of your favourite song requests for the wedding.

 Pack for the honeymoon

Get your luggage and hand-carry baggage ready in advance if you’re leaving for the honeymoon right after the wedding. Remember to check fluid regulations for carry-on baggage.

It is a significant and emotional night for your parents.

Relax and have an early night

Have a good sleep. You deserve it!

On Your Wedding Day

Don’t forget to put a big SMILE on your face :)
